This pretty young street kid, who mastered the spells of the Witches of the Sand, had a terrible crush on Aladdin (in the TV series).

Sadira is another one of my favorite characters on the "Aladdin" T.V. series, as well as Mozenrath. At first I was rather dissipinted that such a clever, independant, streetwise girl could stoop so low as to develop such a silly school girl crush on Aladdin, but I was glad when she finally realized that it WAS only a silly school girl crush and finally stopped chasing after Aladdin, showing her true character. Tough, spunky, and independant. I also like the idea of Sadira developing magic powers once she discovers the anciant secrets of the sand, even though she has a long way to go before she completely masters those spells. Sadira is quite well drawn. I love her thick cloud of smoky black/brown hair and startling blue/green eyes. I like her dark skin, and her ragged, boyish outfit suits her character perfectly, as well as the sweet but clear voice provided by Kelly Martin. All in all, Sadira is definatly a great character, and in my opinion, a far better, and more interesting heroine then Jasmine.

This was my second favorite character in the series, after Mozenrath naturaly. This beautiful, inteligent, young woman finds the secrets of ancient magic and begins to use them prooving how capable she is.She is skillful and this is just the begining. She probably has the potential to become a poweerful sorcerous. Her very first trick was to capture Jasmine and keep her prisoner. She is more capable and indepented than her.By the way she seems to like Jasmine more and more in each episode. She and Mozenrath would make a great couple.

Sadira's quite a unique character in many ways. She can be capable of powerful sand magic and can be a powerful enemy/friend to Aladdin and his allies. It was quite intresting to see her develop a crush on Aladdin, but as the days went by, they eventually became friends, and Sadira started to respect Jasmine even more. In my humble opinion, Sadira's the best female character in the Aladdin series (next to Mirage, that is!) If Mozenrath and Sadira are ever to meet, they would make a beautiful, powerful and unstoppable couple!

Favorite quotes:
You were about to blow a very important undercover fruit inspection!
Now get out of here before I report you to the sultan!
You saved me. No one ever did anything like that for me before.
Um, uh, my name is Sadira!
Aladdin. What a perfect name! He and I, we’re two of a kind! We belong together, and we’re going to be together, one way or another.
Jasmine: Fruit Inspector? Agrabah doesn’t have a Fruit Inspector.
(The others try to motion for Jasmine to stop talking. Rasoul turns around.)
Sadira: Of course it does. How would you know, anyway?
Jasmine: Because my father is the sultan.
Sadira: That would make you... *Princess* Jasmine?
Uh, heh-heh, fancy that.
Terrific. It’s not enough that he has a girlfriend; she’s got to be a rich, beautiful princess. How am I supposed to compete with that? Oh, just when you think things are looking up, everything comes crashing down.
The Witches of the Sand? They disappeared thousands of years ago.
Spells? I could do magic. (picks up an amulet from the bookcase; it starts to glow, and she puts it on) I wouldn’t be just a streetrat anymore. (she opens a scroll on a table) From now on, things are gonna go my way, starting with Aladdin.
Let’s see, it should go something like this. (she holds up the amulet, and red light shines out of it onto the triangle; the sand rises up and creates a sand throne) Wonderful! (claps hands and laughs) Oh! (she zaps it again, and is becomes a model of the palace) Yes! (spins around, then changes it into a statue of Aladdin) This is so cool! But all this isn’t going to get me Aladdin. (zaps the sand in another place and creates a statue of a giant sand beast) By the power of the Seven Deserts, I bid you - live!
Oh, I’m so sorry. If I had the amulet back I could stop it. (starts crying)
I’m sorry I made such a mess of things. It’s just that I’ve never liked anyone the way I like you before.
Looks like I can’t create any more sand beasts. (picks up another scroll) Hmm. “How to Master the Shifting Sands of Time.” Interesting. That’ll make Aladdin like me for sure!
This time, it will work. [She pours the blue sand out of the bag and into her hand.] Aladdin will be mine! Agrabah- let the mystic shifting sand bring the changes I demand. City sleep throughout the night. My dream is born at morning's light! [The sand floats in the breeze to cover the city as she speaks the spell.]
Sadira: Raul? [Rasoul comes forward.]
Rasoul: Rasoul, your highness.
Sadira: Whatever. Bring us grapes. And don't skip on the servings. Oh, this is for you. Get yourself something. [She flips him a coin.]
Rasoul [a bit confused]: Uh... yes, your highness. [He bows and leaves.]
Heh heh, uh, poor Rajah just uh, um... hasn't been fed today. Yeah! Uh, um, Rajah go to the, um, room at the end of the hall or whatever it's called and I'll feed you.
I really hate to have to do this Rajah, but if you tip everyone off that I've switched places with Jasmine, it'll ruin everything! [She rubs the sand in her hand and it glows. She sets it on the ground and it slides across the floor like a snake towards Rajah. It encircles him, then creates a cage.]
I'm sorry, it won't be for long. Now I have to find the bird and the monkey. [She stomps out of the room, past Iago and Abu.]
Oh... Rats! Rats, rats, rats! [She kicks her feet and swings her arms in fury. She folds her arms, pouting. She gets an idea and smiles. She pulls out a scroll from her sleeve and reads it quickly.] Hmm, "Secrets of Sand Mesmerism". That could work. [to the camera] If at first you don't succeed... [She grins.]
